Some work in progress
A couple I know in England, Matt and Brett, are having a baby boy! They have chosen a teddy bear theme for their nursery and so I am making a teddy bear quilt. It is a simple quilt. Its reversible. It has one print on one side of teddy bears in police cars, planes, firetrucks etc and on the other side bears sleeping , reading or playing. I didn't have the heart to cut the fabric apart so I am using them as panels. here are some pics.

Singer
So I spent Friday through today with my grandmother. My grandmother couldn't remember when the Singer sewing machine she has was made. So I found the Serial number on the right hand side of the machine and called Singer to find out.
It was made in Elizabeth, New Jersey on Oct 22, 1926. The factory was named Elizabethport. I didn't think to get a picture of it. But when i go back on the 26th of this month I will get a picture of it and post it to here.
If you do not want to call Singer you can go on their website and look up the serial number yourself. I didn't realize this until after I had already called customer service. Here is the link.

Table Runner with a friends handiwork
I made the table runner and turned the bottom row of a quilt top ,a friend let me buy because she thought it was ugly, into 4 place mats. I think they came out good. I then placed my Valentine's day Orchid in the center and placed a nice candle and a photograph of my two dogs, Brandy and Athena from when they were puppies, onto it.
